LOVED!!! I've actually never been to one besides what we had during my first deployment to Iraq. They were incredibly nice and easy to get along with and watching to cook do his magic was awesome! It was quiet and clean and within walking distance from the hotel. I would recommend this place to others!

I have been going to this Mongolian grill for years. When anyone asks where I want to go eat, I always say Mongolian Grill. I have worked in the restaurant industry and I know what goes on in the "back of the house" so it's nice to be able to see your food be cooked. One of the best things about Mongolian Grill is that you get to take home your left overs. You can't do that at HuHot. This is why, to the disgust of a previous reviewer, customers jam food into those bowls. On a good day you can get two more meals out of your large bowl. it is because you can't take your food home that I have not been to HuHot, but instead go to Mongolian grill. I would suggest you use the baby corns with caution. I don't know what's up with them, but they can be funky.

This place is a typical Mongolian grill and had many of the same things that a lot of them have. I had a couple of small bowls, but my husband really enjoyed it and tried a bunch of different items with different sauces. The only thing I didn't like was that I felt like they used too much water while cooking which took away a little bit of the sauce flavor. I did add a little extra the second bowl which made it much better. It is definitely worth checking out when in Rapid City. Check out my other restaurant and attraction reviews on our travel blog at ourtravelingblog.com/201… . . Thanks.

Very good!!!! Amazing!!!!! It was funny because when me and my dad walked I'm we thought it was a typical buffet. You basically pick up a plate and choose whatever you want to put with the noodles. What I suggest to everybody that go there, just pick up the small plate and refill as much as you can! Because the price will stay the same and the medium and large plates are too big! Very good experience and food

If you've been to one Mongolian Grill you've been to them all. This one is no different from the many grill restaurants around the country: Mongolian BBQ, Flat Top Grill to name a few. The only stand out about this Grill is the staff. Friendly, attentive. I heard my server give multiple people stir fry suggestions. This place is huge. And there's plenty of booths for everyone. Nice place.

I was not a huge fan of this place, especially having first tried HuHot just a few streets over. It's interesting seeing a promising place on the outside to then walk into an outdated restaurant. My service was phenomenal though. My water was refilled before I could get anywhere near finishing it. And she brought a to go container without me even asking. Pricing was good. The ingredient buffet is filled with frozen raw meats which you place in the same bowl and hand to the cook that he then hands back to you when your food is ready. This I found odd and must be against the health code. The sauce varieties were very disappointing, mostly very watery or oily. HuHot has them way beat in this department. I was pleased they had real Thai noodles and the bowl were very large, I'll have more than enough for another meal with what I took home, I wouldn't even bother paying for all you can eat with how much food fits in the bowl and you can't take anything home with you should you goose that option. White rice was free. I probably would not return since HuHot is the same price, just as close, with better options in most categories.

Maybe I don't know enough about Mongolian grills to be reviewing this one, since the only one I had been to before was the HuHot in my hometown, but this restaurant left my wife and I much to be desired. The service was not good, the portions were good, but the items offered were iffy at best. My wife had some shrimp in her bowl, and so far she hasn't gotten sick, but the evening is early yet. I didn't even fill my bowl, and had plenty. What amazed me was watching others fill their bowls to get their money's worth. And when I say fill, I mean they overfill their bowls and smash it down, then I saw one person use that same hand to reach in and grab more noodles to put on top, then smash it down again. If you're a poor college student, I guess it's worth the money, but if you actually earn your money, I'd say spend it elsewhere.

This place has good buffet style food. You choose your own ingredients and sauces, and the chefs cook it up before your eyes. The food is good, and the restaurant is clean. It's not too pricey for the amount of food you get, and you will probably have left overs. The bathrooms are clean and there is plenty of family seating.

Do not eat here! Gave me the worst stomach ache ever! The food does not look fresh as far as veggies go and of course the meat is froEn but everything looks like it's been sitting out all day. Even though HuHot is a chain at least the food is fresh!

You definitely get a lot of food! You'll leave with leftovers for sure! Food was good, not fantastic, I would've liked udon noodles better. Front counter lady was so sweet and helpful. Overall, I left full, satisfied, and will be back.

Lots of Asian restaurants in town but we decided to give this one a try as we love Mongolian grills. Well, we weren't disappointed. The inside of the restaurant isn't fancy but the choices for the grilling were great. The waitress, although she didn't do a lot, was very attentive. All the food was very fresh and the meat was well chilled. Lots of selection with the sauces too. It was dinner so we paid $10.50 for a large bowl. In hind site we didn't need that much as the bowls are very large. So we ended up taking half of it home for another meal. So it was a good value for the money. A very nice find and something we didn't expect in South Dakota.

I only have half a clue when it comes to Mongolian food. I just glob a bunch of stuff that looks tasty into a bowl and trust the restaurant to 1) have put out good tasting stuff and 2) cook it correctly. Mongolian Grill isn't the best I've ever had but it's decent. One thing I do like about this restaurant is its choice of portion sizes. You can choose small, medium, large, or all you can eat. The large bowl should be plenty for most guys. At other restaurants there's only 1 size bowl and it's often not quite enough.

even though i get small bowls, this place makes me fat. i'm sure if i didn't eat so much that would help, but it's so good! i always go for super extra butt-searingly spicy and just go OMNOMNOMNOM until i hit the bottom of the bowl. they keep that food area very clean, and are quick with drink refills.

my friend and i came to eat there for the first time but we will never return again. while we were preparing our bowl of food, the cook yells at us in vietnamese, "le len! du ma me!" in english translation, that means "hurry up! motherf*cker!" they didn't know i was vietnamese. when we confronted the waitress about this poor service, she says "forgive them, they work hard and are tired." that is no excuse to talk to a patron like that and even more cowardly to do so in another language. dont eat there.

We wern't expecting to find a Mongolian grill in S.D. but tried this place out our first night in town. It was okay for a low budget S.D. strip mall joint. Nothing fancy decor wise, plastic bowls, etc. Three bowl sizes to choose from which I have never seen before. I am always a little reluctant about the meat in this places to begin with, I thought it was a plus that it appeared the meat was frozen and thinly sliced for fast and thorough cooking. Nothing was marked so there were a few choices that we couldn't identify, but there was the usual amount of choices. Only two noodle choices and again not sure exactly what they officially were. Several sauces that were very watery and needed to be stirred to mix contents before ladling into bowl. The waitress was always refilling our drinks. Yeah, the others reviews commenting on the ridiculous amounts of food other patrons were jamming into their bowls, ugh, speechless.

This is a great spot for poor college students. My friends and I would each buy the biggest bowl, eat until we were full, and still have about 2 meals left over. It was a huge bang for your buck. They have a great selection for the noodle dishes both in ingredients and in sauces. Go for the shrimp!

I didn't expect to find a decent Mongolian place in Rapid City, but I was proven wrong. We were on our way elsewhere, but decided to stop here as it would be fast and have vegetables. The food was filling, and the service was pretty good. Unlike other Mongolian places I've seen, you can choose to either get the all you can eat, or pay a set amount for a small, medium, or large bowl. If we were going to be in Rapid City longer, I'd consider going back.

Good, but super greasy.

Very awkward service and a bit run down. However, looking for a Vegan meal is South Dakota and finding it, was a delight. Food tasted good and portions were large - even the "small" bowels offered a lot. (It's not only Vegan, much meat to partake in.) Comparing to Hu-Hot.. the atmosphere left much to be desired but the produce was more fresh and plentiful. I'd recommmend if your expectations are appropriate.

Probably the best Mongolian I ever had in the states! I'm considering visiting RC again for this place...

Food was pretty good. Service was quick. Lots of choices. Went with my family with 3 kids. Had lots of food left over. Was reasonable priced too. Might be good to have a few more desert options than just a fortune cookie.

Good quality food and portions for the money. Could be a little cleaner but overall a good value for the money.
